Who We Don’t Work With

We think that there are advantages to going abroad for just about everyone.  However, there are some people who just won’t get a lot out of it at this point in their lives, or for whom there is no discernible advantage to going abroad.  Here are some examples:

No Idea of What To Study – At the vast majority of universities outside of the US, and especially those outside Canada, Scotland, and Ireland, you declare your degree field when you apply.  It is notoriously difficult to change degrees thereafter.  Therefore, it is advised that you know what you want to study before you go; luckily, we’re quite good at helping you figure all that out!

Healthcare – Due to licensing requirements, it is not always smooth sailing for those who want to do a health-related qualification abroad.  Oddly enough, doctors have an easier time of it than nurses.

Of course, if you want to live abroad, healthcare careers are always in high demand, so it can help you get a job someplace new!

Greek Life – Fraternities and sororities simply don’t exist overseas, so if that is something you think of as crucial to college life, then it isn’t for you. (This is coming from a former fraternity social chair, so no hard feelings about Greek life here!)

Sports – There are plenty of sports overseas, but no full scholarships.  Also, academics always comes first; you’ll never see class cancelled because of a football game (yes, there is American football!).
