Want to go abroad, but don’t want to work with us one on one?
Then we’ve got just the thing for you!
Of course, you’re more than welcome to work one on one with us, but if you’d rather just meet once a week and handle most of the work yourself, then our camps are perfect.
Highly focused, these camps make sure you’ve got everything you need to apply to universities around the world.
Held once a week for three weeks, students learn how to research university options (including which ones to avoid overseas), how to write a personal statement, what a good recommendation looks like, and how to figure out financial aid offers and visa requirements.
Rather than working with a counselor who may have only a passing knowledge of international admissions at best, you’ll benefit from the expertise of one of America’s leading experts in international university admissions. And with small group sizes and focused sessions by subject, you’ll get the chance to really dig into where to go and how to impress universities overseas!
Best of all, these are specialized to exactly what a student needs; if you’re only interested in law in the UK, you won’t be wasting time learning about Canadian philosophy programs.
Camps start in June and run through the summer; meetings will be the same time each week, and offer plenty of time for questions and answers during sessions.
Please note that these are for students and their families only. Other counselors may not attend. Don’t worry, we’re planning something for you in the future!

Each live session will meet once a week for two hours, and over the course of three weeks, students will end up with:
- Recorded guides available two days before the relevant camp, so we can spend in-session time on what actually matters, making sure questions are answered!
- A finalized list of programs in their chosen region
- A finished personal statement
- Guidance for supplements (only applicable to certain programs)
- An Overseas “Brag Sheet” to help references write the most effective letter of recommendation possible
- Completed applications for the most popular choices in their respective area of focus
- Automated reminders to both the student and parents (if desired) about when to submit materials and register for any applicable required exams
- The peace of mind that comes with knowing their applications are complete
Frequently Asked Questions
When will the camps be held? Registration for June camps is now open; we’re opening registration for camps in July, August, and September shortly!
How much does each camp cost? Registration per camp is $599.
What do the different emphases mean? If I’m only interested in STEM, should I only go to that one? – These just refer to what fields of study different examples will come from. For example, if you attend the liberal arts camp for EU admissions, we’ll walk through Dutch University College admissions more than we will Bocconi (a great business school). Even if you can’t get the right emphasis, we still recommend registering as groups are small!
Just how small are these courses? We’re aiming for 15 students per session. Due to scheduling, there may be some that get more popular, but we’re putting a hard cap in at 20 students.
Is there a discount for registering for multiple camps? Yes, email us for details.
Tell me more about the Law School Camp! We’re focusing largely on the Common Law countries, so you can sub this in as a replacement for the UK or Canada/Australia/New Zealand camps if you want! As a reminder, if you’re looking to study law in a Civil Law jurisdiction, you may not be able to transfer the law degree as easily.
Do I need to register for both the UK camp and the Oxbridge camp? No, the Oxbridge camp covers everything you’ll need for the UK as well, but with more emphasis on the Oxford/Cambridge application process.
I missed a session, or won’t be able to make one of the meetings? Email us and we’ll reschedule you for the same module at a more convenient time!
How long does each session last? Each session lasts two hours, with ample time for walkthroughs and questions.
I’ve already got a college counselor; why do I need this? As more Americans apply abroad, many international universities have grown increasingly frustrated with US applicants who misunderstand the application process, packaging their overseas applications similar to the way they apply on the Common App. Further, in more than a decade of doing this, I’ve consulting with countless other college counselors, both independent and school-based, all of whom are experts in US admissions, but do not have the experience, bandwidth, or niche knowledge of the vast, varied, and unfamiliar landscape of international admissions. Just like you don’t go to an optometrist for a tooth issue, international admissions requires its own expertise that is quite unique.
What if I’m a counselor and want to learn more? Reach out to us and we’re happy to chat! And be on the lookout for the special offerings we will have for you soon!
Ok, I’m ready to register. Where do I go? Click on the links in the grid above! Otherwise just email me at kevin@aneducationabroad.com.
Last question – so what gives? Where can I find the terms and conditions? We’ll send them to you first, but if you really want to dig in, here they are.
